I am the author of twelve critically acclaimed novels, including The Gold Swan, published by Simon & Schuster. My new novel, The Boxer and the Poet; Something of a Romance, was published by Black Lyon Publishing in 2008.
I also teach novel writing at the University of Washington extension school. I have given many seminars on writing and editing, including Power Editing at the 2008 Pacific Northwest Writer's Association conference. I contribute a monthly column on writing techniques to Author Magazine.
