You'll then email or mail me about 20 pages of your novel, plus a one-to-three page synopsis of the plot.
After I review your material, we'll discuss whether you would prefer (and whether you would best be served by) a manuscript critique or a full edit. See the Services page for a description of each. I'll set my fee. You will not be asked to pay more than the price I set in advance.
If you then decide to hire me, you will mail or email me your manuscript, and pay the fee with a personal check, credit card, or Pay Pal.
I'll go to work.
And when I'm done, you'll receive two email files: one that uses Word's color-coded tracking feature which displays the text before and after my changes, and a clean file that has my alterations incorporated. Or if you've asked me to work on your hard-copy, I'll ship you the blue-penciled manuscript.
